The Dock Bookshop will host its annual seven-day celebration of family, community, and culture Mon., Dec. 26, 2016 through Sun., Jan. 1, 2017

Day 1 Mon. Dec. 26 - Umoja (Unity)
The Dock Bookshop is closed on Monday
- We encourage family and friends to attend Kwanzaa events at Pan African Connection, 4466 S. Marsalis Ave., (inside the Glendale Shopping Center) Dallas, Texas 75216
- 1 pm Zawadi (Gift) Making Workshop and 7p Candle Lighting Ceremony
Day 2 Tue. Dec. 27 - Kujichagulia (Self-Determination)
The Dock Bookshop will be open 1–8 pm
- Open Mic with Fort Worth Slams at 8 pm, $5
- For Kwanzaa activities we encourage family and friends to attend events at Pan African Connection 4466 S. Marsalis Ave (inside the Glendale Shopping Center), Dallas, TX 75216
- 2 pm - Children's Adindra Stamping/Symbol/Cloth Making Workshop
- 7 pm - Kwanzaa event with Bandan Koro African Drum and Dance Ensemble

The Dock Bookshop will be open 1–8 pm

Day 4 Thu. Dec. 29 - Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics)
The Dock Bookshop will be open 1–8 pm
- 7-8 pm - The Business Exchange @ The Dock: Libations & candle lighting ceremony, business, networking and planning. Bring your business cards.
Day 5 Fri. Dec. 30 - Nia (Purpose)
The Dock Bookshop will be open 11 am–8 pm

Day 6 Sat. Dec. 31 - Kuumba (Creativity)
The Dock Bookshop will be open 11 am–6 pm
- 4-6 pm - Kwanzaa-NYE Family Night
- The Dock Bookshop invites you to an evening of free fun for the entire family as we celebrate Kwanzaa, close out this year and get ready for 2017. Enjoy drumming, libations, overview of Kwanzaa, candle lighting ceremony, story telling, artistic expressions, speakers, discussion.
- Also purchase a shopping bag for $5.00 and fill it with as many children's books as it can hold.
