All Things Coffee & Books opens

“All Things Coffee and Books provides a Christ focused, family centered environment for community fellowship, family gatherings, or quaint spot to share coffee with a friend.”

Paris lost a bookstore, The Blind Pig, last month. This month they’ve gained a new indie. All Things Coffee & Books is open at 138 Lamar Avenue.  For now, they offer curbside service and online shopping.

The new store is a labor of love between friends, Denise Williams and Shauna Mercaldo, who met at Immanuel Baptist church through the children's ministry. The friends started the business to fund a non-profit organization “while celebrating all of their favorite things: coffee, T-shirts, books and ministry.”

Their Facebook page specifies:

“We love Jesus, family, coffee, books and Paris, TX. All Things Coffee and Books provides a Christ focused, family centered environment for community fellowship, family gatherings, or quaint spot to share coffee with a friend.”

One of the neat ideas at All Things is the “Pour It Forward” wall. Anyone can go into the store and prepay a treat for anyone. The notice goes on the wall, and the store puts out the word on social media for the lucky recipients.

Business hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and 9 to 9 on Saturday; the store is closed on Sunday and Monday.
