The Dallas Mystery Writers group, the Dallas chapter of the Mystery Writers of America, welcomed Lone Star Literary Life's Kristine Hall to speak at their March monthly meeting. About fifteen members were in attendance, and the conversation topics ranged from practical to comical, thanks to Hall's sharing a sneak peek at the upcoming Lone Star Lit's featured Bookish Humor cartoon by Chris Manno.  A lively question and answer session kept the meeting moving at a fast clip and had Hall learning as much as informing.

THE DALLAS MYSTERY WRITERS GROUP is open to writers of all genres from mystery to romance to speculative fiction and all points in between. If you want to write, or write better, they welcome you to attend any of their regular workshops.  Membership in the national MWA is not necessary to attend the Dallas group meetings. There are plenty of benefits in joining the MWA, but there's no membership requirement to attend the Dallas meetings.  The next monthly meeting will be Saturday, April 6th, at the Olive Garden, 4240 Belt Line, Addison, TX, 75001. Meeting time is 10:00 AM - noon. All who attend are encouraged to remain after the meeting and break bread(sticks) with fellow members.  Contact james@gaskin.com for more information.
